Two Weeks to Go: Every Mile and Every Donation Counts

What a great week! Highlights include time with the grandkids in Kansas, a fast ride with the Michigan Gravel Grinders (tied for the quickest 25-mile loop this year at almost 22 mph on gravel—wasn’t racing, just felt strong!), and creating videos to support Marian Medical Mission fundraising. Huge thanks to Doug and Charlie Kee for their help with the videos!

On the fundraising front, the response has been amazing. We’ve already raised enough for 4 wells, a solid portion of Wilfred’s salary, and a strong start toward a Kids Chance scholarship. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far—your generosity is making a real difference! The momentum keeps building, and every gift, large or small, moves us closer to more clean water, more support, and more opportunities for kids in need. Haven’t donated yet? Mileage-wise, I didn’t quite reach 300 this week after Julie and I missed the earlier standby flight on Sunday out of KC. I used the extra time for rest and recovery instead. Next up: a 200-mile solo ride this Friday. I’ve also got a few rides scheduled with friends from church and hope to join the FMCC ride in Detroit and an R3 ride—should be a big week on the bike!

After that, I’ll taper mileage a bit, get packed, and be ready to roll. Only two weeks until wheels roll—and every mile, every ride, and every donation is making an impact. Thank you!
