Help Us Support a Field Officer for Marion Medical Mission in Malawi
Over the past several years, our church has proudly supported a full-time Field Officer for Marion Medical Mission in Malawi—a role that is absolutely vital to the long-term success of the clean water effort. This year, we’re once again committed to funding Wilfred Kamanga, whose tireless work is at the heart of this mission.
I had the privilege of meeting Wilfred during my trip to Malawi last fall, and I saw firsthand just how critical his role is. He doesn’t just manage logistics—he ensures each well is installed with care, helps train and equip local teams, and builds lasting relationships with the communities Marian Medical Mission serves. Wilfred is the trusted bridge between the mission and the people it impacts, and his work touches thousands of lives each year.
The total cost to support this role is $13,00 and we are on our way to fund this position again but still need to raise about $7,000 to fully fund Wilfred’s position for the year.

For over 15 years, our church has partnered with Marion Medical Mission to bring clean, safe water to rural villages in Africa—places where even a single well can bring hope, health, and dignity to an entire community.
As a member of our church’s National/International Mission Committee, I had the profound privilege of traveling to Malawi last fall, where I witnessed three wells being installed. I stood beside families as clean water flowed for the first time in their village. I saw children drinking without fear of sickness, and mothers smiling with quiet relief, knowing their families would no longer have to walk miles for water that might not be safe.
That experience deeply moved me. It reminded me how something as simple as clean water—something we so often take for granted—can restore life and renew hope.
A well costs just $475 and provides hundreds of people with lasting, life-giving water. And with Marion Medical Mission, 100% of your donation goes directly to the well—no overhead, no middlemen, just clean water reaching those who need it most.
Support a Scholarship with Kids’ Chance of Michigan
For almost 10 years, I’ve had the privilege of serving on the board of Kids’ Chance of Michigan, a nonprofit dedicated to providing scholarships to the children of workers who have been seriously injured or killed on the job. These young people often face tremendous emotional and financial challenges—yet they remain determined to pursue their education and dreams.
As part of this ride, I’m raising funds to help provide a full scholarship for a deserving student. It’s more than tuition support—it’s a vote of confidence, a reminder that they’re not alone, and a step toward a brighter future.
