Day 16 of 28: Purcell, OK to McAlester, OK
116 miles, 7:05 in the saddle, 4,783 feet of climbing.
Rode in a big group to the first stop, then things broke apart. Linked up with Bob and Jacki to help with a flat—it was Bob’s day to have more than 1–we worked together through the crosswinds, and rolling hills and caught Billy with about 10 miles to go who also had a flat earlier in the ride. The past few weeks feel like a blur, but in a good way. Finally seem to be settling into a routine.
Tomorrow we’ll be in Arkansas—and we have a big, beautiful, and tough day of riding. Just had a massage to get ready—enjoy your evening!
