Day 6 of 28: Wickenburg, AZ to Winslow, AZ

118 miles, 7,600 feet of climbing, 8 hours and 21 minutes in the saddle.

Back to back big climbing days—today was grueling at times, but so beautiful—the eco systems seemed to change about every 2 hours on the bike. We have 3 more big days coming up. Even though I was not planning on it—there isn’t much time for sightseeing on the trip so far! After each ride, we clean and fix up our bikes, fix up ourselves and start recovering for tomorrow.

One super highlight for me today was a 40+ mile downhill with a tailwind to end today’s ride—just magnificent, one of my favs and there have been several. See some pics below—the pics don’t show how beautiful God’s creation is—gotta get some sleep—thanks for following along!
