Day 0 of 28: Tomorrow the ride begins!!!
The big ride starts tomorrow! I’ve met some great folks and very experienced cyclists, and I’m excited to ride with them. This morning we had a beautiful breakfast ride to the ocean—check out this YouTube video from the ride, thanks to Lou, one of the riders who put it together.
There should be nearly 30 of us rolling out tomorrow—most for the full 28 days, and some for half the trip. Tonight’s meeting and dinner were a great way to wrap up the day. Special thanks to José, the mechanic, for tuning up my 1st and 2nd gears (which I’ll definitely need for tomorrow’s 8,000+ feet of climbing!). Until tomorrow—thank you!
