Day 22 of 28: Kosciusko, MS to Livingston, AL

116 miles-7 hours in the saddle-5,919 feet of climbing.

Made it to Alabama! Rolling hills and steady headwinds all day, but I felt the strongest I have all trip. Rode with larger groups through the first 75 miles before finishing solo.

One of the best parts of the day—my great friend Mike Scott drove all the way from Michigan to have dinner with me. So good to catch up, share stories about our past rides, and know he’s here to support me. We’ll ride the first segment together tomorrow before he heads back home—12 hour drive! His son, Ninja Phil, also put this website together for me for the ride and fundraising for Marion Medical Mission and Kids Chance—very thankful!

On a sad note, Lon left the tour today to be with his mom who is in hospice. Wishing him and his family comfort and prayers during this time.

Tomorrow is a shorter day—79 miles, with more headwinds expected. Looking forward to start the morning riding with Mike.

All good—good night!
