Day 23 of 28: Livingston, AL to Camden, AL

79 miles, 5:37 in the saddle, 2,717 feet of climbing.

Smooth roads, beautiful weather, and a steady headwind all day. Short day today and even shorter tomorrow—great for recovery!

My trip highlight came this morning when my good friend Mike Scott, who drove all the way from Michigan, joined me for the first 28 miles on his 1980 Schwinn Super Le Tour. We logged thousands of miles together on that bike in the early ’80s, so riding again today was something special. Huge thanks to Susan from PAC Tour for offering to get Mike’s car to the first stop—her help gave us more time to ride together and made Mike’s trip home easier. It’s the kind of support that makes this ride such an amazing experience.

Thank you Mike—and safe travels home brother!

With just 5 days left until Tybee Island, I’m grateful for the encouragement and support that keeps me moving forward every day. Even more exciting—Julie will be arriving Sunday! Way to go Tigers!
