Training Update—Three, 3 Hundred Plus Weeks in a Row!

This week I logged 313 miles—my third straight week hitting over 300, and I’m feeling pretty good! I’ve got a quick bike fit tweak scheduled tomorrow with Fitmi to fine-tune things as the mileage keeps climbing.

Some highlights from the week:

  • Tuesday night’s ride through Detroit with Lee’s Ford Motor group is always a highlight when I can make it—weather was perfect with great sites.

  • 127-mile solo ride pushed me mentally and physically—these solo miles are adding up and building resilience.

  • Saturday’s rainy ride wasn’t exactly ideal weather-wise, but it was very pleasant riding through the metro parks.

I’m planning to go for a 150-mile ish ride this Friday, with the goal of gradually working up to a 200-miler before heading out in September. Most of these long rides have been solo, but I’m hoping all this alone time on the bike will make the 28 days with PAC Tour feel more manageable (and maybe even a bit easier) with other riders..

Thanks for following along—have a great week! Below are a few pics from the week.
