Day 2 of 28: Julian to Elcentro, CA
Today’s ride started at about 50 degrees with a long, beautiful descent out of Julian and finished 94 miles later in El Centro, CA in the 90’s. Fewer climbs for sure today as our average speed was over 18 mph. I rode again with Steve most of the way; he had been a great help on this tour.
We are well fed on this tour at all of the stops, and Mahesh, one of the PAC Tour crew, lead a much needed yoga class at the pool this afternoon.
Back home today, Kids Chance has their annual fall golf outing, the 1st one I have missed—and, we got a $650 bid for the 9/28 Lions game. Bidding ends this Sunday.
Tomorrow brings our first century ride of the tour, with temps in the 90s—thankfully a little cooler than expected. I appreciate you following along!
